Move from Microsoft RMS to WMSPos without losing your data
Microsoft ended support for Dynamics RMS in 2021. WMSPos is the next step: your products, customers and balances come with you, the register keeps selling offline, and you add the cloud, dispatch, accounting and a mobile app.

Dry-run review: nothing moves until you approve it.
RMS still runs, but nobody is improving it.
Microsoft ended extended support for Dynamics RMS on July 13, 2021. The system still works, but without updates or security patches from the vendor. It's a good time to switch calmly, before you're forced to.
Since July 2021 RMS gets no updates or security patches from Microsoft, and no new versions are coming.
RMS is installed on each store's server and computers. WMSPos lives in the cloud: you see sales and inventory wherever you are, and the register keeps selling if the internet goes down.
RMS is point of sale and inventory; accounting, dispatch and mobile sales are handled separately. In WMSPos they come in the same system.
What changes when you move to WMSPos.
We compare it with what we know first-hand: we have implemented and supported RMS since 2004.
| Topic | Microsoft RMS | WMSPos |
|---|---|---|
| Vendor support | Ended in July 2021 | Active: built by the same team that implements it |
| Where it runs | On each store's server and computers | In the cloud, with an optional local server at each location |
| When the internet goes down | Keeps selling, since everything is local | The register keeps selling and syncs on its own when it's back |
| Multiple locations | With Headquarters, a separate product | Included: switch locations in one click and compare them side by side |
| Dispatch and delivery | Not included | Routes with driver and truck, stop-by-stop tracking, and delivery with signature and photo |
| Accounting | In another system | Automatic journal entries, financial statements per location, AR and AP |
| Mobile app | None | One app by role: mobile sales, drivers and an owner view |
| AI assistant | None | Nova: ask your business and get answers from your own data |
| Language | Depends on the installed version | English and Spanish: each user works in their own language |
On Retail Management Hero? We migrate from RMH too. Tell us what you use and we'll show you the difference in the demo.
Your RMS data arrives complete.
We bring over your products, your customers with their balance, your suppliers and your sales history from RMS. You see a dry-run review first: nothing moves until you approve it, and re-running it never duplicates anything.
We pull your data out of RMS with you, or you give us your Excel.
See what comes in, what gets updated and what has errors. Nothing moves.
When you're satisfied, you approve it and the data goes over to WMSPos.
Start selling with your products, customers and balances already in.
Switch with the team that knows your system: 22 years with RMS.
High Quality Computer & Security Inc. has implemented and supported Microsoft Dynamics RMS and Retail Management Hero since 2004, with over 400 active clients. WMSPos was built from what those clients asked for when Microsoft ended RMS support. The same team handles your migration, trains your staff and supports you in English or Spanish.
Meet High Quality →What people ask before leaving RMS
Does Microsoft still support RMS?
No. Microsoft ended extended support for Dynamics RMS on July 13, 2021: since then it releases no updates or security patches. The system still runs, but without vendor backing.
What RMS data comes over to WMSPos?
Products, customers with their balance, suppliers and sales history. You see a dry-run review first and nothing moves until you approve it. Re-running it updates what's already there and never duplicates. See how migration works
If I move to the cloud, do I lose sales when the internet goes down?
No. The WMSPos register keeps selling offline and syncs on its own when the connection is back. Each location can also have its own local server.
I run several stores on RMS Headquarters. How does that work?
All your locations live in the same system: switch locations in one click, compare their numbers side by side, and give each one its own local server if you want.
What if I use Retail Management Hero?
We migrate from Retail Management Hero (RMH) too. We've worked with RMS and RMH since 2004, so we know how they store your data.
Who does the migration?
High Quality Computer & Security Inc., the company that develops WMSPos: 22 years implementing RMS and RMH and over 400 active clients. We're with you from the export to the day you go live. Meet High Quality
How much does it cost to switch?
It depends on your operation: locations, users and implementation. Request a quote and we'll put together a proposal tailored to you.
Is it available in Spanish?
Yes. The system, Nova and support are in English and Spanish, and each user works in their own language.
